What kinds of information are available under the "BRAVO" system?
The information available in the BRAVO system are (i) the latest approved plans, structural calculations and related documents of completed building and Minor Works projects in private buildings* and (ii) the latest submitted plans and details of CLASS I & CLASS II Minor Works, the latest submitted plans or description of CLASS III Minor Works, photos and related documents of completed Minor Works under the simplified requirements in the private buildings*. (*Excluding pre-war buildings, exempted houses in the New Territories and previous Housing Authority buildings sold or disposed of to the private sector such as home ownership scheme buildings, tenants purchase scheme buildings and Link properties.) Please refer to the Building and Minor Works Records under the Important Notices in Term and Condition. Plans showing the Scheduled Areas under the Buildings Ordinance are also available.

Where can I view the electronic form of building records and Minor Works records?
You may access the BRAVO system via the Internet for viewing the building records and Minor Works records and place order for copy at any place and any time. Alternatively, you may also visit our Building Information Centre (BIC) for viewing the building records and Minor Works records during the opening hours of BIC. Please refer to "Building Information Centre" in "Our Services" under BD website for the opening hours of BIC.

How can I become a registered user?
You have to register as a User before you can inspect plans or documents on this system or place orders for hardcopies of the selected plans and documents. You can apply for registration as a User by the following means :-
(a) By filling and returning the application form (Form BIC5) with a copy of your HK Identity Card / Passport to the Building Information Centre (BIC) of the Buildings Department by post, fax, email or in person. The application form (Form BIC5) can be downloaded from the website of the Buildings Department(
http://www.bd.gov.hk). Upon approval, the user account Login Name and authentication code will be sent to your local address by registered mail.
(b) By online user registration. After gaining access to the "BRAVO" system (
https://bravo.bd.gov.hk), please select Online Registration, complete the e-application form, attach copy of HK ID card / Passport and proof of Hong Kong address (such as electric bill, water bill, etc) and submit the completed e-application form via the Internet. Upon checking the e-application form is completed and the required documents are being attached, an activation code will be sent to your registered email address. After account activation, you can then login to the "BRAVO" system.

What can I do if I want to change my personal particulars?
You should report to us by returning the completed reporting form (Form BIC6) to the Building Information Centre of the Buildings Department by post, fax or in person. The reporting form can be downloaded from this website by clicking the icon named FORMS.

What should I fill-in in the "Declaration of Applicant"?
In the Declaration, you should declare the purpose of inspecting records and ordering copies. All information obtained from the system shall not be used for any purpose other than the purpose as specified.
6.
What should I do if I cannot find the building(s) in the "BRAVO" system?
Please try all the searching parameters for searching the building and Minor Works records in the "BRAVO" system. If the building still cannot be found, you may wish to check whether the building in question is a private building issued with Occupation Permit by the Buildings Authority. Some of the building or Minor Works records being kept by BD might be available in paper form. You are welcome to approach our Building Information Centre for assistance or send in your application for inspection of the Minor Works records. The application form (Form BIC1) can be downloaded from both BD website (

) and this website by clicking the icon named FORMS.

Do I have to pay for the services provided by the "BRAVO" system?
Yes. In order to recover the cost of services, separate fees will be charged for both viewing and/or printing of building records and Minor Works records. [Please click the icon Charges for the schedule of fee payments.]

How often will the records be updated?
We strive to include all the newly completed building and Minor Works projects as soon as possible.

What can I do if I have lost my login name?
Please contact Building Information Centre at tel. 2626 1207 (Handled by 1823).

Are there any delivery services available for issue of hardcopies of documents available in "BRAVO" system?
Yes, delivery services are available.
In the process of placing hardcopy order, you can select "By Courier" among the methods of collection as provided in the "BRAVO" system. Building Information Centre will arrange delivery of the ordered copies to the local address in Hong Kong provided by the requestor, except for Closed Area, Lantau Island and Outlying Islands.

Why is there no Chinese version for the building plans and documents?
The electronic records of the building plans and documents in this web site were scanned from the original hardcopy submitted by the Authorized Person / Registered Structural Engineer / Registered Geotechnical Engineer / Prescribed Registered Contractor for the purpose of the Buildings Ordinance. They are provided AS IS.

How can I pay on Internet?
1) You can pay on Internet by using PPS service. You must open an Internet PPS Account beforehand at any nearby PPS Registration Terminal and obtain an 8-digit Internet PPS Account Number and password for making PPS payment on-line. 2) You can also pay by credit card online (Visa/Master Card).
13.
Is there any time limit for the inspection of records on the web site?
Upon payment of the prescribed fee, you will be permitted to inspect the selected file for each and every application within a 24-hours period.

What can be done if I cannot login to the PPS?
